Backup Restore

We provide bare-metal recovery, high performance, no system impact, fast recover, and fully managed.

Different types of backups

  • Managed Backups

It is absolutely critical to understand that corruption happens, hard drives fail, motherboards short out, and mistakes erase data. Good maintenance and technical skills may increase the time between errors, but in the end there is no substitute for having a current backup of your data. Adding Managed Backup Service protects virtual server plans from complete loss of data. You choose how many days backup images are saved and then we manage the entire process from the initial setup and configuration to monitoring progress and tracking failures.
  • Making Backups

The Backup Service runs on the host server and creates a VSS snapshot of each running virtual server. Each snapshot is then cataloged and copied to a central archive server. This means no backup software is installed on your operating system using up space or taking away from performance.
  • Recovering Files

When needing to recover critical files and folders, any backup image in the current rotation can be mounted and the desired data restored. The rotation schedule determines the number of days each backup image will be available for recovery before being overwritten by a subsequent backup.

Frequently Asked Questions

You will need to contact the Support Team and ask them to mount the latest Backup Image. Once this is done you will be able to access the files and folders with the convenience of a drive letter. The Support Team will later unmount the Backup Image after you have copied the file to your server.

There is no additional cost when the Support Team restores a Backup Image in response to a hardware failure. If the restore is in response to a client request the Support Team will provide a quote for services when the request is submitted.

The Support Team reviews the backup logs daily to verify the backup process completed without errors. If a problem is found the process is manually restarted. If the backup process finishes with errors once again, the Support Team will contact you to begin working together to identify and correct the problem.
